I had seen a post regarding Live Write Beta before but skipped over it as it was an early beta.  Office Rocker article on Beta 2 that caught my eye so I thought I would give it another go.

Installation was painless (although I would prefer it not to try and change my home page),  setup for my Blogger.com account was painless it found and even downloaded the styles that I’m using – very nice.

Image upload is still not that slick with blogger accounts and Live Writer offers FTP access, although I don’t currently have an FTP account.   Quick search and I found a link to a Flickr plug in that solves that problem.  You still need to manually upload to flickr and you can’t use to automatic Insert Map options either; but it’s a big step forward.

I really like the fact that categories are automatically added to the UI.
