Google not recognising docx files?

Searching for articles relating to my post on SharePoint Accessibility I spotted the following on Google

Google Unrecognized Format .docx

Office 2007 has been out for a while now, and in beta for a long time. Is this a clever trick by Microsoft or has Google taken their eye off the ball?
