Why WSS 3.0 x64 and MOSS 2007 x64… What’s the deal?

Joel Oleson has posted a good ‘personal’ insight into the use of x86 or x64 servers for WSS V3 and MOSS v3.

I would be interested to see scenarios posted based on real experiences.
