Indexing Adode PDF v8 documents in MOSS
I am trying not to post articles that just link to other posts, however in this case I have made an exception as this problem has come up a few times.
How to index PDF documents in MOSS?
The orignal soultion was to use the PDF IFilter V6.0 as per the KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/832809 and the V6.0 filter
Things have changed with with Version 8 where the IFilter is now part of the Adobe Reader in order to support Windows Desktop Search.

There is still no word from Adobe on when a 64bit version will ship, but if you subscrible to the Filter Central RSS feed I am sure you will be one of the first to know.
