Martin Lindhe has a good article on installation and configuration of Subversion (SVN) 1.4.0 in Windows. Having installed and played with Subversion and TortoiseSVN, the windows client to Subversion, I can say that I am more than impressed. Quick, simple and easy to use yet it has lots of advanced features for the more complicated projects or processes.
