Looks Amazing! Hope it is somewhat futureproof with 18gb of ram. Are you running SharePoint Natively or in a VM?

so yeah I guess the 10 is faster for writes because it doesn't have to do the parity checking that raid 5 has to do. but it just seems like it would be faster reading from 3 drives in a 4 drive raid.

Something to consider with SSD is that in the past they haven't done well with writing little files, which, when we compile, is exactly what we do! I took a cursory look for some sort of logging tool that would tell me how many reads and writes I do and the file size and all that happy trash. It would sure be nice to recreate the usage, like we do with web logs, to run on a machine to get a definitive answer. I have my ideas but I'd sure like to know for sure.

Great.
I'm running 1x24" at the office right now but I find it to be a tad too small for all my concurrent apps to show, so I'm getting yet another one or two :)
I found a great resource for connecting 3-4 monitors to your laptop (if your video card can handle it) - thinking of making a monster rig with 3 24" monitors. But that's taking it to the limit :)
